Box two was arguably the smallest 35mm projection box on the company, maybe in any cinema; it occupied a position in the former entrance to the rear stalls and the void above it. Originally intended for 16mm projection it was soon turned over to 35mm using a Ross machine and Westrex tower.

In 1979 it was fitted out with a Philips FP30 and a Gretton Ward Universal Control Box for operation of all equipment. Automation was never installed, probably because there was no room to fit it!
